the secret lives of tiles

this shape is what i imagine the lovechild of iowa and arkansas would look like. but we're still in brooklyn, waiting for the q.

in response to some recent accusations: i do not use any cgi or otherwise edit these photographs. they spring in raw form from my cellular phone, to my computer desktop, to you. i don't use any brightness adjustment, cropping or anything. in the interest of spontaneity, i try to take only one or maybe two shots of something (although i'll admit i took four of these tiles, and then spent much longer than i should have trying to decide which one to use-- hey, i was waiting pretty damn long for that train!). i've used the zoom function only rarely and not at all recently-- you can tell with the older shots because the posted photo looks smaller on this blog.

also, to debunk any misconceptions, this is not a "moblog," since i do not post directly from my mobile device to the web. but there probably is a geeky name for this type of blog that i don't know about. maybe it's a phoblog or plog. maybe there are dues-paying members of plog associations out there flying to an annual plogger conference as we speak. or maybe, more specifically, it's a cephoplog (even though that sounds like something you'd name your brain tumor). i refuse to look this up. i just want to post my pics.
